What I’m Wearing:

  • Top- Forever 21
  • Pants- Old Navy Rockstar Jeans
  • Flats- Lucky Brand from Off 5th: Saks Fifth Avenue (obviously my go-to shoes)
  • Watch- Michael Kors from Macy’s

I actually wore this outfit last week but haven’t had time to create a post about it. It started because I was going through my closet and pulled out this top from Forever. I decided to wear this top because I’ve had it for a while, and I’ve only worn it a handful of times. I think the reason I never wore it that often was because it was so long. It even came with the belt/tie thingy, but I always thought the loops were too low. After that, I decided to wear these pants because the hole in my fav. jeans is getting kinda big and so I have to work my other pants in to rotation.

So, I’m going to be honest, I was really skeptical about wearing this outfit. I’m not really sure what the reason for this skepticism was, but it was there. I guess it was because I’ve never worn them (the pants and the top) together at once. Or it could have been that I’ve never worn the shirt with the belt that is included. Maybe it was because I rolled the pants up. Idk. Whatever the reason was, I was terrified about wearing it to school. I asked both the BFF and my mom if I looked stupid and they said no, but my fears still weren’t cast aside. Even though I had my doubts, I wore it to school anyways and kept saying to myself “Stop being so stupid. No one looks at you.”

Unfortunately, as I was walking in to the building, I passed by two girls who were laughing and said something along the lines of “I like that outfit.” Of course this could have been completely innocent or about someone else, but I got super paranoid. For the rest of the day, I felt like everyone was criticizing me because that’s just what people in high school do. But whatever, I made it through the day, which is all that matters.

So that’s it for this OOTD and little rant/story telling (?). Thanks for stopping by!

Do you ever feel weird about wearing certain outfit? Do you wear it anyways cuz “I do want I waannt” or do you take them off and go for something more simple?

OOTD: Brights and Stripes

I know my last OOTD post was more boring than usual, so hopefully, today’s will sort of compensate for that. So this weekend, it got pretty cold. Luckily, it would warm up by mid day, so it wasn’t so bad. With this weekend weather in mind, I decided to pick something that would be warm enough for the cool morning weather, but wouldn’t be too unbearable for the afternoon heat.

(Sorry for the yellow lighting!)

What I’m Wearing:

  • Shirt- Gilly Hicks
  • Pants- Old Navy
  • Jacket- Abercrombie
  • Flats- Lucky Brand from Off 5th: Saks Fifth Avenue
  • Watch- Michael Kors from Macy’s

Normally, I would have thrown on a pair of regular denim skinnies, but since they just came out of the wash, I didn’t feel like squeezing in to them this morning. Instead, I opted for some color pants. Since my corals pants are so loud, I toned everything else down. I went for a neutral striped shirt and my cropped, wannabe leather jacket.

So that’s it for this quick update! If you like the colored pants trend, like this post and I’ll try to include them in more of my OOTDs.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day, and if I don’t post anymore this week, the rest of their week!

Spring 2013 Trends

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been MIA, beauty wise, but school has been pretty hectic. So today, I wanted to do a post about spring trends that I’m loving. Obviously, there are more than what this post shows, but these are ones that I would/do actually follow. This is my first time doing a post like this because I don’t really find myself to be up to date on fashion, but I’m just going to jump right in.

Bright and Pastel Pants

I love color pants. I have about 3 pairs myself, but I really want to try to Skimmers from Gap. I love color pants because they can pull an outfit together. It replaces everyday denim with a nice pop of color that makes it seem like you put a little more effort in to your outfit.

Lace

In general, I really like that romantic, girly look. With the bows, sheer, soft, neutral fabric, and lace! I’m absolutely in love with lace and lace detailing. A while back, I was obsessed with lace. Everywhere I went, I saw it and I had to have it. I have maybe a hand full of lace items, but I love all of them. I was worried that having these items would be bad because when they went out of style, I wouldn’t know what to do with them, but luckily they’re still in style.

Animal Ear Accessories

So when I first saw Taylor Swift with here cat headband in 22, I thought it was super cute, but not something I would really wear. Same goes for bunny ears. I kinda thought it would be deemed as more for costumes or younger kids. Luckily though, it seems that these accessories are making it big, which justifies wearing things normally associated with kids. Also, while this cutesy look is just coming in to style in America, it has been big in Korea, home to everything cute, for quite some time. With that being said, if you’re interested in these accessories, I would advise looking at Ebay and other sites where they sell cheap Korean accessories. As for the headband, I sell it at Forever.

Chambray

I’m going to be completely honest and admit that before this season, I had no idea what chambray was. I think I saw it online or on tv and was totally confused. When I saw it, I thought it was the same thing as denim. I didn’t really think much about it even after doing some research, but then I started seeing it everywhere. I saw an especially cute top that also incorporated florals in a TJ Maxx ad. I have a denim shirt, but nothing chambray, so hopefully, I’ll be able to pick something up soon!

Once again, sorry I haven’t updated in a while, but hopefully I’ll get back on schedule soon! I hope you enjoyed this post and if you want more, be sure to like this!

OOTD: Casual Movie Date with Friends

So my friends and I went to Studio Movie Grill today. We watched Oz the Great and Powerful. It was kinda strange. I felt like they fused The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. We watched it in 2D, but wouldn’t have minded seeing it in 3D. I’m not really a fan of 3D movies, but I felt like the effects in this movie would be good in 3D. Also, if you haven’t been to SMG in a while like me, I wanted to let you know that they now have assigned seating. Since we got to the counter at 2:00 and they trailers started at 2:05, we were played in the front. Literally the very first row.

Anyways, I thought it would be colder today since I was freezing all morning and since it was cold last night. I was wrong. Luckily, I didn’t wear boots and went with a cardigan instead. For this outfit, I combined two of my favorite things. Lace shirts and colored pants!
